History

ARSA was originally created in 1991 to be a commercial product and a learning experience for me as I transitioned into PC applications. I was a long time flying club member and pilot who saw the need for such a product. Unfortunately, I ran out of capital and had to abandon full scale commercial production. However, I have continued to maintain and enhance ARSA. It is currently being used by a number of flying clubs, both in the US and abroad, and receives high compliments.

Since first writing ARSA, I have seen a few systems appear on the internet and in the classified ads of flying magazines. I believe their prices are higher than many clubs can afford. I haven't heard of many clubs that are truly making money. Usually, they are lucky to break even! Recently I heard of one system being marketed in Europe that had a fraction of the features found in ARSA for an astounding $1500. Other systems have been recently started that provide services similar to ARSA, but for a monthly fee. Needless to say, that can be very expensive, over time, compared to ARSA. I have strived to make ARSA a cost effective, friendly, and intuitive solution to several needs that are common to many flying clubs. I also continue to add new features in response to feedback from current users.

I am not a large company (just me), but my sincere wish is for my fellow pilots to benefit from the MANY hundreds of hours I have spent working on this system.
